Swedish Massage

$80 per 60 min

Long gliding stokes, gentle to moderate depth, using lotions and oils, my massage tends to be nurturing, trance-like and meditative, allowing the greatest possible unfoldment to take place in the client. A calming, soothing experience that relieves stress, improves circulation deceses pain and eases muscle aches.


Deep Tissue Massage

$80 per 60 min

Deep Tissue Massage is a style similar to Swedish with an emphisis to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body by realigning deeper layers of muscles and conective tissue.  Massage therapists may use fingertips, knuckles, hands, elbows, and forearms during the deep tissue massage. You may be asked to breathe deeply as the massage therapist works on specific tense areas. Deep Tissue Massage focuses on specific problems such as chronic pain, injury and some of the following conditons:

  • Chronic pain
  • Lower back pain
  • Limited mobility
  • Recovery from injuries (e.g. whiplash, falls, sports injury)
  • Repetitive strain injury, such as carpal tunnel sydrome
  • Postural problems
  • Muscle tension in the hamstrings, glutes, IT band, legs, quadriceps, upper back
  • Sciatica 
  • Piriformis syndrome
  • Tennis elbow
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Muscle tension or spasm
  • After a workout or bodybuilding

Plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.


Sports Massage

Sports massage therapy is geared toward athletes of every kind, from world-class professionals to weekend joggers.  Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.  The particulars of the sports massage technique are specific to the athlete's sport of choice. Focusing on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements. 

Aspects of sports massage therapy are gaining popularity as useful components in a balanced training regimen. Sports massage therapy can be used as a means to enhance pre-event preparation and reduce recovery time for maximum performance during training or after an event. Athletes have discovered that specially designed sports massage promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries and prepares their body and mind for optimal performance.
